Obama speaking on government accountability, transparency, and ethics

Here’s Barack Obama speaking on government ethics (lobbying, campaign finance, etc). I am extremely impressed– this is the most eloquent and intelligent I have ever heard a mainstream presidential candidate speaking on any issue. He speaks very confidently, never mincing his words to make them more digestible. That’s what I like so much about Obama– he respects voters and doesn’t treat them like mindless fragile statistics.

(I actually don’t know where he is speaking– I found the video on Obama’s ethics policy page).

Zack Exley tells Obama to get a clue

Zack Exley has written a plea to Barack Obama, urging him to start respecting the internet/email medium and using its power to have a more direct relationship with his supporters. This essay is well written and presents ideas that are, unfortunately, very novel in today’s political world. His model is very cluetrain and, in my opinion, spot on.
