Sorry, I find Camera Works very professional, amazingly knowledgeable and easy to work with. LIke with one of my chef's 1986 BMW - there are no brand new 1986 parts but Sebastian knows where and how to find them. Not sure of anyone else that would take the time and have the patience but Camera Works DOES. Never had a bad experience there but did have one time where I had a too-complicated light meter for me and I thought it was broken. NOT, I simply did not know how to use it properly. Camera Works - a great resource!

I have delt with Camera Works in Durham several times in the past, I had a Canon Rebel II redone, the repair was done ontime and at a good price. I recently purchased a Canon XTI and a portrait lense as well. I have had no problems with service or price.

I am sorry your friend had problems there.
