I usually don’t put these kind of “interesting adventures of a curious consumer with a pleasant temperament but high expectations for the quality of his bordering on sinfully unnecessary gadget purchases” posts on my blog, but I cannot get over how much I love the headset i have for my phone. It stays on my ear and is very comfortable, both the earpiece and the microphone work better than those built into my phone (a Sony Ericson 610/616), it has a volume wheel and a microphone mute button, a standard sized plug, and it was $20!!
BTW, to use it with my Sony Ericsson phone I have to use an adapter like this (there are several different ones on the market, all brandless I think): http://tinyurl.com/4vbg2. Take that, proprietary interface!
